Why We Choose Fur

No matter where they’re worn, many of our products are designed and built to protect against the elements in the coldest places on Earth – places where exposed skin can freeze in an instant. In these environments, we believe that fur is the best choice – having fur trim around a jacket hood disrupts airflow which helps protect the face from frostbite.

Why We Choose Down

We use down because it’s recognized as one of the world’s best natural insulators. Each ounce of down has approximately two million fluffy filaments that interlock and overlap to create insulating pockets of air, which is what keeps you warm.

All of the down we use is hypoallergenic, laboratory-tested and is in compliance with applicable standards. Our down blends all contain Canadian Hutterite down, which is among the highest quality Canadian down available, enabling us to manufacture lighter jackets without sacrificing warmth.

RATINGS AND REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crazy Warmth I picked these up once I decided I wanted to buy an extremely good winter pant that could keep me warm while standing still in very cold temperatures. You do not need to wear long underwear under these and I swear they're even warmer than my Expedition Parka. I have to open the two way zipper at the knee area if I'm going to be walking in them for regular periods because they keep the heat in like crazy; if you're looking to wear these and be very active in the winter, they might be too warm for you in the -10 to -25 range. The build is very impressive and have so far shown great durability over the last two winters. Also, I love the belt adjustment on the waist. These are hands down the warmest snow pants I've ever worn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These pants are a really great fit, and they stay up around my waist perfectly. The adjustable belt is well thought out, and the button and hook seem of good quality. The bottom of the leg has a surprisingly generous width to it so you can wear these overtop of proper Baffin -100° boots. The only thing I hate is how small the zipped pockets are on the sides of the pant. I can barely get my hand in there without scratching it against all the zipper teeth, and there's no way it's usable with a glove. It's a ridiculous oversight in these almost $500 pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best heavy duty ski/snow pants around I looked high and low for these and they’re sold out everywhere. Luckily, I found this pair that became available and am happy I did. These are very well made, very warm, and very good looking. You can just see the CG quality all over them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go for the Warmest First of all, this is my first down-filled winter pant. Thus, my first impression on the pant is puffy and heavy. As soon as I put it on and hit the alpine (-20 C) with a thin base-layer, it feels like the warmest pant ever. My pant size is mostly between 29 and 30. I got this one with a size Small. The fitting is great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great warmth but size is an issue Since I’m 5’5 I was hoping to get one with a short inseam but seems they don’t have that option.
Date published: 2019-10-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best kind of adjusting straps to harness the waist Better than it looks. Fits perfect and by far the warmest of its class.
