Rated 5 out of 5 by hm10 from Great Parka Purchased this coat 2 months ago and it has lived up to its name so far. I sized up in store, trying out the MacMillan and the Maitland, ultimately settling on the Maitland. I typically wear a medium, but the fit is a tad snug so I went up to a large and it still fits great. The coat can dress up or down and goes great with a pair of jeans, but also looks very smart in business casual to the office. I walk to work every morning and have never been concerned about being cold. Lowest temperature I've had it in has been -33C (-44C with the wind) and still have been comfortable. Only advice is to size up one size, or find your fit in store. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mlomanto from Warm but has strange dimensions The jacket is very warm and the quality is exceptional, but that's what you'd expect from Canada Goose and a $800+ jacket. The jacket fits more like a bomber than a parka. It stops just below your hip and has a slim fit. What I didn't expect from a $800+ jacket is that the front pockets are criminally small—I can only get 80% of my hands into them. What makes the lack of space worse is that the top-opening pocket sits right on top of these side opening pockets—making space even more restricted. If you have your phone or gloves or anything in your front pocket, it's almost impossible to get your hand in the other. I think for the money, design issues like this shouldn't happen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from quality does not match the price I really want to like this parka and the reservoir blue color is nice. I am 5'5", and an S fits perfectly snug for me. However, there are some major issue with this Maitland parka. Right after unboxing, I noticed 4 stains on top two flap pockets at the snap closures. Then I checked the logo patch and noticed 5 islands! I realized there is a black thread hanging out... The quality issue doesn't end here...there is also loose down on one of the snap closure, as well as two long loose threads on both inner arm joints. For a parka close to $1000 (after tax from $895), I found the quality to be unacceptable for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Terenda from Not what I expected from CG. I purchased 2 coats , one for my wife ( montebello and Maitland BL )and one for myself. I picked them both up from the post office today, opened the first one. Which was mine.Through the plastic i could see stains on the jacket. What gives? I called CG right away ( spoke to Witney ), and was not offered an apology, or quick recourse. Just that I have to send this one back, and order another one.Oh by the way today is the last day for expedited service?? Why do I have to go through waiting 1.5 weeks for another jack? This is definitely what I would expect from CG and a $800.00 jacket. Where is the quality control? Where is the service? What is going on here? Excitement level went from a 10 to a 0 in 2 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hero in Detroit from Simple and militaristic in design This is my first CG. Price seems high, but after looking at the competition and seeing the quality first hand, I'm very pleased. I like the design because it straddles the line between fashion and practicality. The detachable hood further transforms the jacket into a more stylish piece. Most of what I wear is size MD, however with this jacket I opted for a LG. It still feels a little snug. Very warm and there's little need to wear a thick sweater (in fact it's less comfy with a bulky sweater). For ref I'm 5'11" and 175lb. My only regret is, this has no fur hood liner. Nor is one available. Given the hood is detachable, I thought it was feasible...must go to a tailor now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by buybetterproducts from Poor Workmanship I received this jacket in the mail yesterday and the workmanship was not what I expected. I took a week to come in and once it came in it was missing the string accents on the zipper pulls. Ridiculous, especially on a company that prides itself on craftsmanship and high quality products. Where was the quality control? sleeping I guess. I will not be buying from Canada Goose anymore, spent $900 for a defective jacket. Buyers beware of this poor quality and look at details before settling!
